Way to go Seycove! This inclusive act is a great step towards breaking down walls when it comes to LGBT acceptance.
Before the gender-neutral bathroom enthusiasts get all riled up, I’d like to remind people that segregated bathrooms DO have a place in our ever-evolving society. On Saturday, after a night of drinking and late night pizza, I cycled to 33 Acres Brewery–a trendy and hip spot where a pint of beer costs $9.50–on Main & 8th in Vancouver. As soon as that small-batch local ale hit my stomach, last night’s shots of Jim Beam, coagulated mozzarella and mystery meat decided they wanted out. 33 Acres has ONE washroom. Progressive and modern, right? WRONG.
Dripping in sweat I shuffled out of the torture chamber and muttered a pathetic “sorry” to the two females waiting in line. ALL of the genders lost on that day.
But hey, Seycove is right: EVERYBODY POOPS. Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Trans, Christian, Muslim, Dogs, Cats. Pooping UNITES us.
