On April 21, Hollyburn Properties is hosting a Town Hall meeting for their mixed-use purpose-built rental proposal at 1301-1333 Lonsdale Avenue, in the City of North Vancouver. At the meeting, you’ll have an opportunity to review design concepts and share your feedback with the project team.
Designed by Francl Architecture, the 19 storey mixed-use building is 100% rental residential. It will provide 144 new rental units in the Central Lonsdale area where the vacancy rate is 0.2%, or 1 vacant unit for every 500 rental units–well below the regional average. The proposal includes sixteen 2-bedroom suites and sixteen 3-bedroom suites. The new 3-bedroom suites represent an increase of almost 50% in the City’s family-oriented rental housing.
The proposal also includes an improved streetscape and public realm with patio space for new businesses, weather protection for pedestrians, and the addition of new trees and pavement treatments. A new public mews will link the proposed building’s open space to City Hall and the lane will be beautified to create a shared pedestrian area for the community to enjoy.
Hollyburn Properties has deep roots in North Vancouver, and has been operating rental housing in the City for almost 40 years. This will be their third purpose-built rental building in Central Lonsdale. Hollyburn Properties is a Canadian-family owned and operated property management and investment company, and was founded on the north shore in 1972.
