This weather’s got us in the mood to party and our beloved country celebrating 150 big ones is the perfect excuse. It’s time to bring out those red pants you bought at Salvation Army 10 years ago that also have the equivalent 10 years of beer stains (which you swear you’ve washed, but it doesn’t really matter). The streets of the North Shore will be painted in red and white and for those of you staying in town next weekend, here are a few things happening on the North Shore to bring in the big day:
CANADA 150 AT WATERFRONT PARK
WHEN: 12-4pm and 6:30-10:30pm
WHERE: Waterfront Park
The North Vancouver Canada Day Celebrations is a free event and includes fun things to see and do for all ages. Festivities take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
There will also be a special evening event for Canada 150 from 6:30-10:30 pm. This event will include a free concert in the park, a beer & wine garden featuring Red Truck Brewing and Baillie Grohman Wines, food trucks, and the perfect spot to watch Vancouver’s Canada Day fireworks.
